One Boy, One Girl

It feels like the lyrics to a favorite old Collin Raye song, having these babies with the love of my life.
They love each other too, a lot.
I forgot to scan it in, but there is a picture from last week taken looking down at the tops of their heads. You can't see the membrane that separates them. You can't see anything between them. Just my babies, face to face, touching noses.
The sonographers comment on it often, how the two of them make every effort to be as close to each other as possible, all the time.
I swoon.
This is also from last week.

I would estimate I'm about the size I was at 32 weeks with Joel. This twin thing is no joke. I am not gaining too much, or too little, I am just growing. I can only imagine what the next few months will hold. I am being good to my body, it has a big job to do and I recognize that my choices impact the twins survival and health. I am giving them everything I know how to put them at an advantage.
And they? They are just being them.

Li'l Miss Green is approximated to be just once ounce smaller than her brother. They expect this in boy/girl twins and she is doing just perfectly at an estimated weight of 14oz. Everything they can see about her is ideal, I think she might be a little shy. She nearly always has her hands near her face, and showed off by opening and closing her mouth several times for us while we watched. I promised her I wouldn't embarrass her by showing her privates on the internet, but she surely is a girl.

And Mr. Red (just as surely a boy) is doing splendidly as well. His heart is perfect, just like his brother's and at 15oz last week he is probably already topping a pound. His little fist here told Daddy he's a natural born tough guy, even though he didn't really want to give us a good profile shot.
We've reached that magical part of pregnancy where their antics can be seen from the outside and it never ceases to amaze me, watching them roll, tumble, punch and kick their way around. It makes me miss their brother even more, but also stop to recognize the miracles of every moment.
I can't believe they're ours.

Could you be any more cute? And those babies? LOVE.. LOVE..LOVE..LOVE..LOVE! (one for each of your family of 5!)
    I'm so happy for you.
Stay strong, and don't forget to tell them everything about their big brother, and tell them to remember some thing about him that you dont know so they can tell you!
Think about how long they've known him! If only they could tell you stories.

You know how I'm coming to visit in June and you were all, Oh, you can stay at my house? You might wake up to me looming over you, groping your belly. FAIR WARNING.

I freaking love you. I love that you look SO gorgeous in that picture, and I LOVE that you aren't showing their privates. Because public privates are not private at all. And your children, if nothing else, will be well-bred and classy. Which is really all one can ask for. Besides silly things like healthy and smart and caring. But yours will be all that and more, of course.
