Hers
Tomorrow is Tink’s day.
Two years ago, on that day, my friend Jill gave us a gift.
She came to help me say goodbye to my spotted heathen pony and to give us a lifetime of photos in just a few hours.
Thank you Jill, I will never say it enough.
Because a small bone broke into pieces.
So did my heart.
When the horse I’d loved since she was just three months old.
Got all dressed up.
And walked out with me on a blustery day.
I felt so small.
As we looked off in the distance.
And knew we wouldn’t be together for a while.
That can’t change how much I love you Stinkerbell.
Forever.

You just made me cry so very early in the morning. Your love of horses is just one more thing that I love about you. She was lucky to have someone take such good care of her, right up to the end.

Oh Stinkerbell. I'll never forget the day you tried to kill me. But I know you're doing bigger and better things now...galloping along with a little boy's hands wrapped in your mane and little legs kicking your sides to make you go faster than you ever thought you could run.
Thanks for sharing the pictures with us and thanks to Jill for taking them.
