Embarrassing Moment #1587618
When you are as naturally graceful heinously clumsy as I am, the embarrassing moments just seem to roll off your person like rain off a duck’s back. Although there are countless examples of my prowess, this one is definitely one of my favorites.
Parents signing up child for riding lessons to my best friend the coach: So, this is safe right? She won’t get hurt or anything will she?
Best friend the coach: Well, we have all our students wear helmets and our horses are well trained to carry beginning riders. Sara is a very experienced rider, what do you say Sara?
Me (riding around on the completely trained horse I have owned for years): I always say that riding is pretty much as safe as any sport, but when you spend enough time around horses eventually you will get bit, kicked, stepped on and fall off, but it’s usually… (at this point the horse, Charlie – better known as Wiley Coyote and now you know why – decides to sort of jump/buck/shimmy out from under me and I promptly fall off and hit the dirt) …no big deal. Ow.
Unfortunately my foot did not land in my mouth so I had to place it there myself.
סמס
